Managing Heritage: Designing Sustainable Future
2013 College Research Conference, Nottingham Trent University, 05-12.07.2013
As part of the annual College of Art & Design research Conference Nottingham Trent University launched ArCHIAM Centre for Architecture and Cultural Heritage of India, Arabia and the Maghreb through the inaugural exhibition "Managing Heritage: Designing Sustainable Futures", which was held at the Bonington Gallery.
The exhibition was opened by Anne Priest, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Head of College
of Art & Design and Built Environment Arts and Design College. Her introductory talk was followed by that of Prof Soumyen Bandyopadhyay, ArCHIAM's Director, Mr. Ahmed bin Mohammed al-Tamimi, Director General for the ad-Dakhilyah Governorate, Ministry of Heritage and Culture Sultanate of Oman, and Prof Marjan Sarshar Driscoll, Associate Dean for Research, College of Art & Design and Built Environment.
Following the exhibition launch keynote talks were given by Prof Nick Temple,(Huddersfield University), Dr Aylin Orbasli (Oxford Brooks University) and Geoff Rich (Feilden Clegg Bradley Studio).
