Survey and trial excavation at Izki/Yemen (Al-Dakhliyah/Oman), 2011

Professor Soumyen Bandyopadhyay, Professor Paul Yule and Dr Giamila Quattrone presented the findings of a joint fieldwork campaign in Oman, which was carried out by the Nottingham Trent University team n March 2011 and again in March-April 2012, to document the architecture and social history of al-Yemen in Izki. The on-site documentation and the followng research lead to a better understanding of the settlement's morphology and enhanced understanding of dwelling typology of the ad-Dakhiliyah region.
